Queens Park

Today at Enrich we had an action packed day, Walking at Queens Park. It was awesome fun but also way to HOT.  At least it wasn't raining!  The whole point of the trip was because our focus or concept curriculum is "patterns" but I think some people forgot that the focus was patterns. We saw natural and man-made patterns at the bird aviary, We saw beauty, strength, order and survivability patterns everywhere in the park.  I saw a pattern on a tree stump that had recently been cut down.

The new newspaper

ENRICH@ILT IN THE CITY That is the name of the new Enrich newspaper we are starting at Enrich. It will come out twice each year to the Invercargill locals.Yes, one day we will have to be newspaper deliverers. Today we had to design a banner for the front page. Then, Nicola will choose the very, very best. Nicola also said it takes about two months to make a real newspaper, (which we are doing.)  It was very fun. Hopefully we will be able to continue next week.

Drama

"This is so hard!" I thought as I was playing a really fun game. You had to get the hoops around the circle. THUMP!  My hoop hit the ground. "Rhylee, you're out!" yelled Darryn. "Oh no!" I thought. That was the most fun, most confusing game ever. I kind of felt sorry for the people who had to keep going because it was so tiring. That was one of the three drama games we played today. Last day for the year...

      It is the last day of enrich for this year!!!
                 and even the last day ever for some people.
                      This year I liked going on the perspective field trip.
                                      I don't so much like chess and must dos and picks.
              I found it interesting that Pippa liked eye dissection!

GUESS WHAT!!! Today I get to bring home my stone carved anchor!!! But the sad thing is... No more stone carving for the rest of the year :-( I will have to find something to do while the others do passion time or maybe I could just finish off my environment project. I am also excited because I'm just about to go dissect a pigs eye! Katie told me the eyes were waiting in the freezer to be broken up! Bye,bye see you next week.
